Naturals & plant extracts

Over the past 10 years we have increasingly formulated with natural aromachemicals, essential oils, and fixed oils.  In fact a large percentage of our warehouse inventory is comprised of naturals like Fir Needle, Cedarwood, Orange Brazil, and Peppermint.

Some fragrances are relatively easy for formulate this way including citruses, medicinal like eucalyptus and rosemary, or woody notes.  For others like musks or sweet notes, we are often still able to blend in naturals based on the requirement and stability in the application.

We also create our own extracts in-house for value added skin and hair care products.  Our chemists and lab techs routinely produce bamboo extract from our own harvested bamboo, along with others such as arnica extract and raspberry leaf extract.  We continue to develop this technology and business with a plan to grow certain varietals in-house in a mini greenhouse.  This will enable us to control the growing process without pesticides, while also harvesting just before extracting in our labs.
